As Chief Commercial Officer, JB Davis has primary responsibility for setting the commercial strategy for the products we sell in the market. He is also instrumental in our business development initiatives, and has become a trusted advisor to our partners as they consider the right strategy to meet their ultimate business goals. He draws upon almost twenty years of commercial sales, marketing, and business development experience in the pharmaceuticals industry.
Prior to co-founding TruPharma, JB served Anchen Pharmaceuticals as its Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing from 2007-2011. During this time, he was responsible for Anchen’s entire commercial operation, including the introduction of the Anchen label to the US market and all sales, marketing and distribution for the Anchen products. He also played a primary role in Anchen’s business development activities and other strategic initiatives.
Immediately prior to joining Anchen, JB worked for Pliva as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. While at Pliva, his team more than doubled the company’s sales revenue from its existing product portfolio without launching any new products. JB continued with Pliva until it was acquired by Barr Labs in December of 2006.
Prior to his years at Pliva, JB was part of a small team that established the US commercial operations for Lek Pharmaceuticals, a company based in Slovenia. As Lek’s US Vice President of Sales and Marketing, he successfully launched the Lek label in the US market, and grew annual sales to over $200 million in just three years. Lek was acquired by Sandoz/Novartis. Prior to Lek, JB held positions with Schein Pharmaceutical until that company was acquired by Watson.
